Above and Beyond Awards

David O'Keeffe and Jaquelyn Turner from Clayton County Schools in Hampton, GA took first place at this year's National Special Needs Team Safety Roadeo in Orlando, FL. The driver - attendant team participated in five major skill events including Wheelchair Loading, Wheelchair and Car Seat Securement, Emergency Event, Managing Challenging Behavior and a Special Needs Knowledge Test.

Other roadeo winners were: in second place, Tammy Roberson and Tammy Labaro from Moravia CSD (Moravia, NY); and in third place, Tyrone Pickney and Thomas Orr from Jasper County Schools (Ridgeland, SC).

Thanks to Edupro Group, the National Association for Pupil Transportation as well as the teams and judges for making this year's roadeo a success.
